A Study in Contrast

A quiet portrait, a crowded ceremony, and the change in scale between them.

The sequence

The mirror makes a portrait within a portrait. Later, the room opens around the couple: guests cross the foreground, the architecture holds the frame, and a small gesture becomes the center of a larger scene.

A frame can hold both the person and the room around them.
